Although NeuroLux was founded recently, in 2015, the core technology represents the outcome of a development effort that began in the spring of 2011 as a collaboration between the research groups of Prof. J. Rogers in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign (UIUC), Prof. R. Gereau, and Prof. M. Bruchas at Washington University.
