NeuroLux hosted its first training workshop on April 25-26, 2018 at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. The NeuroLux Illuminate Workshop 2018 provided attendees the opportunity to become trained on the technology and the surgical procedures, to listen to and interact with guest researchers who have active programs built around the Neurolux technology, and to obtain exclusive information and hands-on experience with next-generation technology releases. Forty registered guests from seventeen private and public institutions attended the event and came home with free devices and customized stereotaxic clip for device surgery.
In the first day, the NeuroLux team showcased the hardware system, taught users how to set up their custom antenna for their desired enclosures, walked through the purchasing process, and gave a sneak peek at new and upcoming devices. Experienced users from the Bruchas Lab and the Gereau Lab gave lectures on surgery as well as exhibited behavioral responses in implanted animal subjects during the second day.
